A Listening Ear is a wellness consulting service created by an ex-superyacht crew member and industry professional for current and prospective superyacht crew.based near Antibes on the Cote d'Azur, France.

Our services are available globally both online, onboard and onshore in private residences and resorts.

 

With a strong foundation in the superyachting and hospitality sectors, we offer personalized support and guidance to individuals seeking holistic wellness and balance in their lives.

 

Lynne is a skilled and impactful superyacht crew trainer, bringing over 40 years of hospitality experience to the company. 

She has been an integral part of the creation, continual development, promotion and teaching of industry-recognised interior crew training programmes and has dedicated the last two decades of her life to the education and empowerment of many hundreds of superyacht crew members and hospitality staff. 

 

Lynne has an abiding passion for Personal Development and part of her aim is to encourage recognition for the challenging and demanding work professional superyacht crew and hospitality staff undertake. She also loves bringing a deeper understanding, acceptance and appreciation to ALL individuals and teams in the high-end hospitality industry by discovering and optimising each person’s inherent talents to create cohesive, high functioning teams in all departments. 

 

In an industry whose foremost asset is people, she strongly believes in the importance of this work to increase employee engagement and encourage the enjoyment of and longevity in the industry, knowing that this will automatically translate into a better owner and guest experience.

Having spent 15 years as a Chief Stewardess in the superyacht industry and more than 20 years as a superyacht crew trainer, the Listening Ear approach is undoubtedly unique as this life experience, coupled with an ongoing commitment to Personal Development of self and others, has created a deep understanding of, and ability to address the specific challenges and needs of superyacht Captains and crew, as well as hospitality professionals working in private residences.

Other support available:

During my tenure as PYA Director of Interior Crew Training & Development I set up the PYA Welfare group to support interior crew with the challenges they were facing on board and this is still offering a terrific service to the industry.

I also proudly endorse the Blue Ducks charitable fundraising initiative, created to champion the mental health of yacht crew members through dedicated fundraising efforts

As well as a continued supporter of the wonderful work ISWAN are doing through their welfare services to yacht crew through their 24/7 Seafarers help line
